Knitters, Quilters, Artists, Friends...

The recent, senseless tragedy in Connecticut breaks my heart, as I’m sure it has broken yours.  It underscores how violent our society has become.  You and I like to fix and mend -- it's instinct.  In this case, we can’t fix every aspect of the problem.

But we are not helpless.

Please take a few moments to send an email or letter to the White House in support of a ban on the sale and possession of semi automatic weapons.  We know that these are made to kill, not to hunt.

Then, crochet a little black band you can wear on your wrist in solidarity.  It’s a simple, personal way to voice our feelings.  When people ask about it, you help spread the word – and that makes a difference.  It also pays tribute to the innocent lives lost.  If you don’t know how to crochet, please email me -- I’m happy to make you one and ship it!
